New cabinets and lots of storage were on the top of Carolyn's wish list for the remodel of her Irving Park kitchen. The kitchen was gutted and stained cherry cabinets with an ebony glaze were added, including oversized pantry cabinets and a "drop-zone" for mail and the telephone. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a marble backsplash were also added. A new lighting plan with lots of recessed can lights really helped brighten the new kitchen.
